An exhibition of exceptional original paintings from two leading British landscape artists, Edward Hersey and Gordon Lees.
York Fine Arts is proud to hold an exhibition of exceptional original paintings from two leading British landscape artists, Edward Hersey and Gordon Lees.
For a discerning collector or first time buyer the exhibition is a chance to see an exclusive collection of works from two of the gallery’s most recognised artists. Included in the exhibition will be Edward Hersey’s warming summertime farmhouses and Gordon Lees’ idyllic wintertime village scenes.
Renowned for his distinct style and attention to the details of the British countryside, Edward Hersey has forged a loyal international following. His application of mood and lighting has made him one of the most highly sought after traditional painters of his generation.
Following last year’s passing of Thomas Kinkade, one of America’s most prolific artists (an estimated 1 in every 20 American homes owning a copy of one of his paintings) Gordon Lees’ works has shown a recent surge in cross Atlantic sales. It is thought that Gordon Lees was the inspiration for most of Thomas Kinkade’s trademark village scenes and recognising Gordon as ‘The Original Master of Light’
All paintings at the exhibition are available to purchase and range from £660 to £14,850. Included is the stunning and specially commissioned by the gallery Edward Hersey Cotswolds Scene. Also available is a selection of signed limited edition prints either loose or framed.
