Recently Acquired Lucy Westenra suffers from mysterious blood loss due to Dracula's attacks. To save her, her fiance Arthur Holmwood, Professor Van Helsing, and others perform multiple blood transfusions, each donating their blood to save her. Despite their efforts, Lucy's condition worsens, and she eventually succumbs to Dracula's influence, transformed into a creature of the night.
