Antonio Ianicelli was born in 1952 and lives in Castelvolturno, Naples where he still lives and works. He studied painting at de Academy of Fine Arts. From his first year at the school, his artwork drew critical acclaim and attracted attention from Italian and foreign admirers.
Once seen, rarely forgotten, Antonio Ianicelli’s award winning paintings of the Amalfi Coast and Venice capture the beauty and charm of these Italian landscapes. Naples born Antonio recreates the colour and vibrancy of these Italian scenes in a realistic and intimate way; his paintings are a celebration of his colourful surroundings and Italian exuberance.
Brother of a famous artist, Ianniacelli is known especially for his rustic scenes and coastal views in his particularly neo-impressionistic style with short brushstrokes, rich colours, and pastoral compositions depicting the countryside, orchards and idyllic coastal regions.
