With another turn of the calendar comes a colourful change of season, bringing with it a symphony of new tones and an equally dramatic and seasonal collection of fine art. October is an exciting month here at York Fine Arts, with the opening of Sean Durkin’s highly anticipated solo show and preparations for next month’s art fair lending an invigorating thrill to the daily goings-on of the gallery. In all of this, we nonetheless seek, find and savour the brief moments of solace to be found within our collection—and warmly invite you to do the same. After months of anticipation, this month the gallery is delighted to open Sean Durkin’s annual solo exhibition, ‘Sean Durkin: Art for All!’. With strong industrial roots, resurrected memories and a peppering of unabashed cheek, Sean’s latest showcase of original paintings is sure to prove a delight for collectors old and new. If you have not already, there is still time to request a preview catalogue to get the first look (and pick!) of Sean’s highly anticipated and collectible collection before the show opens on Friday. Timeless and playful in equal measure, this is truly an exhibition not to be missed! York Fine Arts is delighted to return to Manchester for its third annual showing at Manchester Art Fair, the North’s largest and most significant art fair. Showcasing a uniquely diverse mix of acclaimed galleries and independent artists, with a rich programme of artist talks, panel discussions, performances, and installations, Manchester Art Fair blurs the boundaries between the traditional and the contemporary, creating a friendly and unpretentious Northern art-buying experience. Once again, the gallery will be proud to display a handpicked selection of work from some of our most loved and collectible artists from Stand 305. We are also happy to offer a limited number of complimentary VIP Preview tickets and unlimited free weekend tickets to our clients wishing to attend.
