In what seems an instant, we find ourselves in autumn’s warm, comforting embrace once again. With a dark, dramatic palette, Caroline Richardson’s new painting is a fitting companion for the season’s longer evenings, its bright, ivory flowers a welcome beacon through the shadows. Delicately composed and gracefully executed, ‘Hand Tied Posy’ is a perfect representation of Caroline’s elegant, understated style, making it a singular acquisition for collectors of contemporary still life.
The arrival of autumn also signals that our highly anticipated annual Edward Hersey and Gordon Lees exhibition is now just around the corner. Opening next month on Friday the 15th of November, the exhibition brings together a collection of work from two of the country’s most established landscape artists in the gallery’s biggest show of the year. From specially commissioned paintings to exclusive signed limited edition prints, the exhibition features a range of work suitable for first-time and veteran collectors alike.
Finally, this month the gallery has welcomed the arrival of new work by Raymond Campbell, Terry Evans, Alan Smith, Jay Nottingham, Terry Grundy, Juriy Ohremovich and Gordon Lees. Visit our Recently Acquired page to view these exciting new additions to the gallery’s collection, and be sure to check back throughout the month for any new arrivals.
We wish you the best, and look forward to welcoming you to our galleries soon.
