After a long and glorious summer, we find ourselves in the dusky comfort of autumn once again. With its dark, dramatic palette and a sense of elegant simplicity, Caroline Richardson’s newest painting makes for a magnificent usher to the season. A sumptuous blend of shadow and texture, ‘Lemons’ timelessly bridges traditional and contemporary still life with both competence and grace.
The arrival of autumn also means that our highly anticipated annual Edward Hersey and Gordon Lees exhibition is now just around the corner. Opening next month on Friday the 16th of November, this must-see exhibition brings together a selection of work from two of the gallery’s most acclaimed artists in our biggest show of the year. From specially commissioned paintings to exclusive signed limited edition prints, the exhibition is sure to offer something for new and veteran collectors alike. Preview catalogues will be available upon request; so please do register your interest if you would like to receive an exclusive first look at the collection.
October also sees the arrival of new work by Julian Mason, Caroline Richardson, Stephen Hawkins, Amanda Jackson, Michael Simpson, Wayne Westwood, Richard Telford, Stuart Herod, Stephen Park, Gordon Lees and Edward Hersey. New work is also expected to arrive throughout the month; so be sure to re-visit our Recently Acquired page to view the gallery’s newest arrivals.
We wish you the best, and look forward to welcoming you to our galleries soon.
