As the leaves begin to colour and drop, October falls upon us, bringing with it a seasonal collection of pieces reminiscent of the autumn. Daniel Van Der Putten’s new painting 'Autumn at Charwelton' (pictured left) is particularly striking, effortlessly capturing the changing atmosphere and understated beauty of the season. This month the gallery also received equally enchanting pieces by Edward Hersey, Raymond Campbell, Gordon Lees, Terry Evans, Wayne Westwood, Les Spence and Amanda Jackson, so do take a look at our Recently Acquired page to see our newest additions.
This month will also see the arrival of our News and Articles portion of the website. This will allow us to provide the most up-to-date news, as well as a growing collection of articles ranging from artist features to tips and insight about collecting and the wider art market. Alongside our recently launched Exhibitions page, the News and Articles feature will offer yet another opportunity to further engage with our artworks, artists and your own collection.
Finally, we excitedly close with the announcement of the dates for our annual Edward Hersey and Gordon Lees exhibition. The exhibition will open on Friday, the 20th of November and run until Sunday, the 6th of December. Further details will be announced on our website and in next month’s newsletter, so be sure to keep an eye out.
We wish you the best, and look forward to seeing you soon.
Yours faithfully,
The Directors at York Fine Arts
