As November greets us with the fiery golden hues of autumn, Daniel Van Der Putten’s newest painting appears tailormade to lift the spirits and enliven the senses. A Dutch Master for the modern age, Daniel’s ‘Autumn Evening Light, Silsden, Keithley, Yorkshire’ is a striking contemporary classic that will stand the test of time.
In keeping with the restrictions of the latest UK lockdown, on Wednesday we closed our gallery doors for the second time this year. However, our galleries remain operating behind the scenes, with all communication channels open, including email and telephone lines, as well as our website and online ordering system. We continue to ship all artwork worldwide, with services such as Home Viewing being adapted for the safety and comfort of our clients.
Due to current lockdown measures, we have decided to move our annual Edward Hersey and Gordon Lees exhibition online this year. So, stoke up the fire, warm up your hot toddies and luxuriate in a selection of original paintings and signed, limited-edition prints by two of the country’s finest landscape artists. The exhibition opens on Friday the 20th of November, running until Sunday the 20th of December. To accommodate moving the exhibition online, additional photographs of all original paintings will be available on request.
If you are considering giving the gift of art this Christmas, or adding to your own collection before the year is up, please contact our York gallery for all enquires and for information on our various payment options, including paying by instalments with our Set Aside service.
In addition to new work by Daniel Van Der Putten, this month the gallery also sees the arrival of work by Stephen Park, Terry Evans, Ken Hammond, Raymond Campbell, Jay Nottingham, Amanda Jackson, Alex Hill, and Julian Mason. As ever, do remember to check our Recently Acquired page to keep up to date with any new arrivals throughout the month.
We thank you for your continued patronage and support in these extraordinary times and wish you and your families all the very best. We will come through this together, and in the meantime, please stay safe, keep positive and look after one another.
