It is in this spirit of refreshed excitement that the gallery enthusiastically announces the arrival of artwork by contemporary plein air painter Julian Mason. His newest painting ‘Allt Coire Lagan, Skye’ is a simply awe-inspiring sight to behold, its swirling waters and jagged peaks dramatically inviting us into the adventure of the landscape. Full of wild, uninhibited energy, Julian’s paintings give an authentic experience with the landscape and a renewed appreciation for its boundless splendour. This month also celebrates the first anniversary of our Harrogate branch on Montpellier Parade. We are happy to report that our first year has seen great success and we have been equally happy to receive such wonderful feedback from our clients old and new. In addition to its outstanding collection of fine art, our Harrogate gallery also offers a range of services, from art consultancy to framing and restoration; so please do feel free to visit us at this branch should you require any of our gallery services. For those dreaming of a European getaway, look no further than the gallery’s newest exhibition, ‘Treasures of the Continent’, which opens at our Harrogate gallery later this month. Bringing together an exciting collection of original paintings by leading contemporary landscape artists including David Sawyer RBA, Michael John Ashcroft MAFA, Gordon Lees and Steve Thoms, the exhibition explores the rich history, culture and landscape of continental Europe through a magnificent collection of fine art. The exhibition opens on Friday, the 18th of May and runs until Sunday, the 10th of June; so be sure to mark your calendars now and plan your visit early to avoid disappointment.
