As daffodils peek from the ground and blossoms begin to unfurl, we brightly embrace the first signs of the coming spring. The gallery too blooms around us, a host of dazzling new arrivals contributing to the colourful symphony of hopeful spring cheer. Between anticipated new releases, exciting announcements and bold new additions to our collection, we simply cannot wait to share our latest updates with you all.
Next month we are excited to take our collection on the road to Fresh Art Fair: Cheltenham. Drawing from the wealth of talent amongst the gallery’ represented artists, we will be showcasing a handpicked selection of original paintings and sculpture from Stand 2 at Cheltenham Racecourse. Alongside a bustling programme of talks and artist demonstrations, this energy-filled fair breathes new life into the browsing and buying experience. Free tickets to the private view and full weekend event are available upon request. We hope to see you there!
Here at the gallery, continuing this month is ‘Transitions’, a mixed show reflecting on the concept of constant growth, change and movement in the natural world. Bringing together a dynamic collection of original paintings and sculpture from some of the gallery’s favourite artists, including Julian Mason, Terry Evans, Philip Hearsey and David Sawyer, RBA, the exhibition gently guides us as we ourselves transition from the fading days of winter to those first, precious days of spring.
In addition, this month the gallery is delighted to reveal Edward Hersey’s newest signed limited edition print, ‘High Summer, Yorkshire Dales’. Exclusive to York Fine Arts and limited to just 65, this standout addition to Hersey’s print collection is available in both a 12” x 12” and 20” x 20” size. Priced at £148 and £330 respectively, the prints are available to pre-order for delivery later this month. A contemporary classic in every way, Hersey’s newest print is a crowning jewel for collectors old and new.
Bursting with spring’s fresh energy, this month the gallery has welcomed a superb collection of over twenty-five original paintings from Terence Clarke, Natalie Stutely, Jay Nottingham, Stephen Park, Andrew Grant Kurtis, Alan Smith, Edward Hersey, Steve Thoms, Terry Evans, Alex Hill and Stephen Hawkins. With new work also soon expected from Ian Rawling and Clare Haley, remember to check back on our Recently Acquired page to see these and any other new arrivals throughout the course of the month.
As ever, we thank you for your patronage and look forward to welcoming you to the gallery soon.
