As we venture into the new year together, greeted by the bright chill of January, we find strength in our communities and rejoice in the warmth and comfort of our homes. Brimming with soft violet hues, pastoral charm and the distant tolling of church bells, Gordon Lees’ ‘Fading Light of a Winter’s Eve’ basks in the gentle ebb and flow of village life.

In light of the most recent UK lockdown, we once more see the temporary closure of our York and Harrogate galleries to the public. But, as with the previous lockdowns, we are happy confirm that our website and online ordering system remain live and open for business. In addition, all communication channels remain open seven days a week, including email, telephone lines from 10am-5pm and our Live Chat. In order to help keep things moving in this challenging period, many of our artists have generously offered to reintroduce temporary discounts and/or consider reasonable offers. As such, if any particular artwork is of interest, we would highly encourage you to contact the gallery with any offers or to enquire about discounts that may be available. Our usual pricing will resume as soon as the country’s protective measures are lessened.

To carry on with business as usual, we have worked to adapt all of our existing services to accommodate these extraordinary times. Although we are taking estimated dates for Home Viewings, we can now also offer additional photographs and videos of all original artwork, replicating the experience of viewing in the flesh. This month sees the opening of our New Year Selection 2021 online exhibition, featuring a select pick of our latest acquisitions, providing you with a taste of the outstanding new work most recently arrived. Spoiled for choice, this month we have received new work by Alex Hill, Amanda Jackson, Andrew Grant Kurtis, Caroline Richardson, Daniel Van Der Putten, Gordon Lees, Jay Nottingham, Sean Durkin and Terry Grundy.
