Harnessing the power of Natalie Stutely’s magnificent ‘Andalusian Stallion’, we continue our charge into 2017. Stutely’s newest painting is a victorious marriage of passion and authenticity, its emotional stimulus and anatomical accuracy equally yoked. With each shadow, sheen and rippled muscle, Stutely gracefully immortalises the beauty and strength of this majestic animal.
This month the gallery is thrilled to announce Animalia, an upcoming exhibition of artwork dedicated to the magnificent animals of the natural world. An eclectic compilation of paintings and sculpture, the exhibition brings together artwork by some of the gallery’s most popular wildlife artists, including Wayne Westwood, Jacqueline Gaylard and Stephen Park. From exotic African wildlife to domesticated companions closer to home, Animalia aims to highlight the beauty of each of these creatures and celebrate the intricate relationship between humans and the animal kingdom. The exhibition opens on Friday, the 3rd of March and runs until Sunday, the 26th of March 2017.
In recent weeks, the gallery has also welcomed the arrival of artwork by Clare Haley, Edward Hersey, Sean Durkin and Stephen Park. We will additionally be receiving new paintings by Carl Whitfield and a few other artists later in the month, so do check our Recently Acquired page to ensure you get a first look as artwork becomes available.
We wish you the best, and look forward to welcoming you to the gallery soon.
Yours faithfully,
The Directors at York Fine Arts
