With a dazzling overture and a hint of spice in the air, the festive season has fallen delightfully upon us, bringing its distinctive warmth and cheer to all. Here at the gallery, we too have embraced the festive spirit, trimming our gallery tree and wrapping many an artwork soon to be discovered under glistening boughs around the world. Combined with the excitement of our newest exhibition, a host of new artwork and the timeless charm of our own twinkling streets of York, we brightly look forward to this merriest of seasons and its countless joyous tidings.
The gallery’s final exhibition of the year is now open and in its full, festive splendour. Between the nostalgic familiarity of the countryside to the warmth of a winter glow, ‘Modern Masters’ highlights a spectacular collection of original paintings from two of the gallery’s most renowned and collectible artists, Edward Hersey and Daniel Van der Putten. Bridging the gap between old and new, the exquisitely detailed work of these two artists honours the classical heritage and tradition of landscape painting with contemporary mastery and elegance. Do visit the gallery to soak up the seasonal delights of the show—perhaps with a cup of mulled wine or hot chocolate in hand.
What a pleasure it was to welcome so many visitors to our stand this year at Manchester Art Fair. Busting with the energy and buzzing excitement of collectors, art lovers and everyone in between, Manchester Art Fair once again served as a gracious host to its signature, unpretentious and quintessentially Northern art-buying experience. If you would like free tickets to next year’s event, please register your interest with a member of the team and we will be in touch with booking details closer to time. We simply cannot wait to welcome you all back to the stand next year!
