With a flurry of dazzling lights and the spicy aroma of mulled wine in the air, the Christmas season has delightfully arrived in all its splendour. Alongside these festive tidings comes a seasonal and sensational collection of new fine art, including Gordon Lees’ newest painting, ‘York Minster in Snow’. With soft, radiating light and his signature romantic style, Gordon masterfully transforms a cold winter's night into a warm and magical moment. The painting is a perfect representation of his work and is just one of the pieces featured in the gallery’s annual Edward Hersey and Gordon Lees exhibition, which continues to run over the festive period at our York gallery.
In addition to Gordon’s work, this month the gallery has also received new paintings from Clare Haley, Sean Durkin, Amanda Jackson, Andrew Grant Kurtis, Ken Hammond, Neil Foggo, Jay Nottingham, Alex Hill, Ken Burton, Steve Thoms, Terry Evans, Caroline Richardson and Raymond Campbell. We are also expecting a new delivery of work from still life artist Colin Wilson by the end of the week, so do check back on our Recently Acquired page to view these and any other new additions that may arrive over the course of the month.
If you are hoping for deliveries in time for Christmas, the last day for domestically shipped orders will be Sunday the 19th of December and the last day for international orders will be Wednesday the 15th of December. This includes purchases and home viewings from our London dealership, The Colomb Art Gallery. For those wishing to collect or make any last-minute purchases, you may do so up until noon on Friday the 24th of December at our York gallery.
Finally, as most of you will be aware, at York Fine Arts we strive to go above and beyond for our clients—and Christmas is no different. So be it the inclusion of a handwritten Christmas card or simply leaving out an invoice, if there is any way we can help to make your or your loved ones’ Christmas that little bit more magical, please do not hesitate to send us a message or speak with a member of gallery staff. We are always happy to help in any way we can.
We wish you all the very best this Christmas and look forward to welcoming you to our galleries soon.
