Spring has arrived with a flourish, graciously bringing welcome warmth, sunshine and a superb collection of new work. Michael James Smith's newest painting 'Cumbria' is positivley a joy to behold, its verdant, rolling fells, bright sky and weathered dry stone walls providing a swift escape into the beloved British landscape. In addition to Michael's masterpiece, the gallery also received work by Edward Hersey, Raymond Campbell, Terry Evans, Gordon Lees, Amanda Jackson, Sean Durkin, Wayne Westwood and Juriy Ohremovich. Be sure to take a look at our Recently Acquired page to view these newest pieces to arrive at the gallery.
After months of anticipation, the Spring Exhibition finally opens on Saturday. Bringing together an ecclectic mix of contemporary and traditional pieces, the exhibition recreates the spectacle and experience of spring in a magnifcent collection of fine art. The exhibition will run until Sunday, the 17th of April; but the collection will also be available to view online.
